How is your safety protected?
At Cupidship, your safety is our top priority. We have built multiple checks and balances into the platform to ensure every match and discussion is safe, genuine, and respectful. While we work hard to keep scammers off the site, we encourage you to follow these safety tips.
What are trust and verification protocols?
We use several systems to verify our members:
- Photo Verification: You can submit a verification photo to earn a green checkmark badge on your profile.
- Trust Scores: We assign a public Trust Score to every profile. Members earn points by verifying their account, contributing positively to community forums, and receiving positive feedback from matches.
- Student Exclusion: We exclude student signups to ensure our community is comprised entirely of mature, working professionals.
What tips should I follow when dating?
Please keep the following guidelines in mind for a safe experience:
- Never send money: Stop communicating and report any user who asks you for money, banking details, or financial assistance.
- Keep chats on the app: Do not share your personal phone number or social media handles until you have built a foundation of trust.
- Meet in public: For your first few dates, meet in busy public places during the day. Let a friend or family member know where you are going.
- Trust your gut: If a profile or message feels suspicious, trust your instincts, stop replies, and block the user.
How do I report abuse?
If you encounter inappropriate behavior or suspicious profiles, click the "Report" button on their profile card or within the chat. Our safety team reviews all reports within 24 hours. You can also reach our support team directly at safety@cupidship.com.
